AN EARTHQUAKE SHOCK ZAMBIA AND TANZANIA.
An earthquake of magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale tests has happened overnight in Lake Tanganyika. The quake rocked the northern parts of Zambia and the earthquakes also spread in areas of southwestern Tanzania, particular Rukwa region.
According to Agency of the US Geological the quake
epicenter was 10 km underground 45 km eastern of the town of
Kaputa in Zambia, The town is located in the boundary of Zambia and Congo
republic
The earthquake occurred on the course of nine hours and thirty minutes
to two o'clock (0032 GMT).
An earthquake of similar magnitude is considered to be moderate but
experts say given the situation that the epicenter wasn’t much lower into the ground;
it may have led to major shocks
In December 2005, a massive earthquake occurred in the area of Lake Tanganyika.
A powerful earthquake of 6.8 rocked homes in suburban areas of eastern and
central Africa.
