peaking in the 10^th anniversary of Chinese business chamber of Tanzania, parallel with Chinese night and Christmas party held at Mbalamwezi beach Dar es salaam Tanzania on 17 December 2016, the vice president of Tanzania Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan who was also a guest of honor has invited Chinese to invest and do business in Tanzania following the advantages of Tanzania geographical features.

She insinuated that the location presents several opportunities for establishing manufacturing and trading businesses. She said “come and invest to take advantage of geographical features” meanwhile she mentioned investment opportunities in agriculture, mining, tourism, manufacturing, fishing, ICT and infrastructure development. Tanzania has 1000km 0f sea coastline with huge lakes making fishing industry worthy investing.

The Tanzania government has been satisfied with the existing relationship between China and Tanzania. China remains Tanzania’s largest trading partners with bilateral trade amounting to USD 1.52 billion in the first half of 2016. China is also Tanzania’s second-largest source of foreign direct investment (FDI), with a record of USD 6.62 billion investment at the end of 2015.About 675 Chinese companies have been registered with the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC)

Chinese business chamber of Tanzania (CBCT) has successful creates employments opportunities. CBCT is part and parcel of industrial developments in Tanzania. CBCT has 30,000 Chinese employees and 150’000 Tanzanian employees, it plays a great role in contribution of significant amount of tax, and Her Excellency Samia Suluhu insisted that CBCT has to do more corporate social responsibilities to assist the communities around them.

Apart from that Chinese business chamber of Tanzania has donated twenty million Tanzania shillings under Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan whereas ten million Tanzania shillings for Dangote cement and the other ten million Tanzania shillings for school desks and chairs; followed by the Chinese council for the promotion of peace for national reunification of Tanzania which donated five million Tanzania shillings for school desks and chairs as well.

Moreover other special attendants were honorable Charles Mwijage the minister for industry, trade and investment, Mr. Gou Hadong, the minister counselor – Embassy of peoples republic of china, Janson Huang, the chairman of Chinese business chamber of Tanzania, H.E major General Zhu Jinfeng, the chairman of china helping unify promotion association and excellences ambassadors, high commissioners and heads of international organizations and other members of the diplomatic corps.

10^TH anniversary of CBCT took place parallel with Chinese night and Christmas party accompanied with Chinese entertainments like music and water melon fast eaters competition and Tanzania local dance.

Tanzania government expect a lot from Chinese investors in contributing  industrial developments following the 5^th  government  industrial  policy in Tanzania to make  Tanzania among the middle economies countries up to year 2025.
