Trump calls President Kenyatta on future bilateral ties

spoke on telephone with US president Donald trump on Tuesday 7th March 2017, Donald trump calls to discuss with Kenya president ways to boost
bilateral trade between the two nations.
State house stated that
the leaders discussed economic partnership and mutual dedication to overcoming
terrorism and other regional security challenges.
Trump also convey appreciation
for Kenya significant contribution to the African union mission in Somalia and
sacrifices made by Kenyan troops in the fight against the al-shabaab.

President Kenyatta was
the fourth leader in Africa to speak with Trump since he became president of
the US; Trump has called Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Nigerian
President Muhammadu Buhari and South Africa President Jacob Zuma.
He discussed a possible
new arms deal to help the West African nation fight terrorism, especially in
the fight against Boko Haram.
