MBOWE HAS BEEN RELEASED FROM POLICE AFTER SEIZED FOR EIGHT HOURS.

Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA) National Chairman Freeman Mbowe who is The Leader of Official Opposition in parliament was arrested for questioning over drug related charges and released within eight hours yesterday on 20th February 2017.
Mr. Mbowe has been listed by Paul Makonda the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner (RC) in his second phase names of people alleged dealing with drugs.
Last Saturday, the police issued a public statement, direct Mbowe to report to the police station for interrogation, police gave 48 hours for Mbowe to report to the police otherwise they could have used their own ways to search and reach for him.
Dar es Salaam Special Police Zone Commander Simon Sirro said that;
“We made efforts to find him and even call him through his cell phone without success. His mobile phone is now switched off; in fact he is nowhere to be found. We are therefore advising him to come by himself”
”Nobody is above the law in this country,” he added

Mbowe promised to report on February 15 but did not show up at the first place, He lastly reported to the police after Commander Sirro announced 48 hour for him to report to the police station in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
